Tai chi and Qigong
This class is intended for people living with a chronic disease in the Somerset West Community Health Centre service area who are new to Tai chi and Qigong.
Combining meditation and movement to improve and maintain health, Tai Chi and Qigong consists of a series of movements done either very slowly or quickly to help move the body's chi. The benefits of Tai chi and Qigong include:
- Reduced pain and stiffness
- Improved mood
- Enhanced immune function
- Lower blood pressure
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. & 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. (two classes)
