Primary Care Asthma Program (Support by phone)
In order to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and protect our clients, we have cancelled all in-person sessions until further notice. The lung health program continues to support new and existing clients remotely through telephone or virtual appointments through the COVID crisis. Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The Primary Care Asthma Program is a program for people with a confirmed diagnosis of asthma or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) to learn how to better self-manage their condition. It consists of assessment, education, the development of an action plan, and follow-up care.
Clients are followed by a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) to help them learn to identify symptoms, manage medications, and master proper medication device and breathing techniques.

Lung Health Program
The Primary Care Asthma Program is part of Somerset West Community Health Centre's Lung Health Program. This program provides a range of services to help people with COPD and asthma better self-manage their conditions.
