The SWCHC new satellite in Hintonburg was showcased in the Champlain LHIN Board Highlights at the last LHIN board meeting on April 24, 2013. SWCHC Executive Director, Jack McCarthy and Primary Care Director, Merry Cardinal presented the benefits of the new satellite to the Board and answered any questions the LHIN Board may have had.
The purpose of the African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) Community health symposium was to bring together organizations and groups that work with ACB communities to work towards the development of a formal network to increase the availability, accessibility and quality of family-centred, culturally competent services for the ACB community in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Chinatown Showboat Team, who represent Chinatown in the annual Dragon Boat races around town have thrown their generous support behind the Yet Keen Chinese Seniors Day Centre. SWCHC was presented with just under $400 yesterday from the team to enable a group of seniors to visit the Ottawa Humane Society at the end of this month.
