Notice of Community Consultations for Supervised Injection Services
At Somerset West Community Health Centre, we believe every person deserves access to safe health services. That's why we want to expand our harm reduction services to include supervised injection.
The proposed service will be an expansion of our existing Needle Exchange and Safer Inhalation (NESI) program. It is intended to reduce the frequency of public injecting, overdose deaths, and behaviours associated with the spread of HIV and hepatitis C.
We recognize you may have questions!
That's why we're hosting two public consultation sessions. Our goal is to answer any questions you have about supervised injection services (SIS) and get input from the community about our proposed supervised injection services model.
Monday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 8 2017
6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
