OUR SERVICES HAVE CHANGED, BUT WE'RE STILL HERE FOR YOU
In order to respond to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep you safe, we have made substantial changes to the services normally offered to you. We are limiting in-person contact at the Centre and are offering phone and virtual support as much as possible. All groups, classes and events are cancelled until further notice. More detailed information about our services changes are listed below.

Primary Care & Walk-In Clinics:
We are working hard to minimize transmission of the coronavirus by implementing a number of changes at our centre which includes limiting the number of people in our waiting room, and offering appointments by virtual care whenever possible.
Primary Care Appointments: We continue to offer services by appointment at our 30 Rosemount location Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you require an urgent appointment, please call us at 613-238-1220. We may offer some appointments by virtual care (e.g. telephone or videoconferencing). Please click here to learn more about our Virtual Care options.
From July 27 to September 25, we will have fewer booked health appointments available as we transition to a new electonic medical records system. We will expand our Primary Care virtual walk-in services during this transition period.
Primary Care Walk-In: Health walk-in services will be offered through virtual care available by phone and video. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. If you do not have reliable access to a phone, in-person same day appointments for primary care are available at our 55 Eccles St location Monday to Friday 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. To book a same-day appointment, please call us at 613-238-1220.
From July 27 to September 25, we will be expanding our virtual walk-in hours. The new hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Other Primary Care services:
Acupuncture, Footcare & Chiropody, Nutritional/Dietitian service: These appointments have been cancelled until further notice.
Breastfeeding support: Our lactation consultant is available to provide phone support. Clients who need assistance please call 613-688-1177.
Buns in the Oven: Buns in the Oven program is now offered online every Tuesday from 1:30-2:15pm. Contact Catherine to register 613-238-1220 ext 2248.

Groups/Classes: All of our groups and classes are cancelled until further notice. This includes Chinese Pregnancy Circle, Health Workshops, Seniors Shopping Group, Tai Chi & Qigong, The Place to be Drop-In, Vietnamese Drop In, Vietnamese Canadian Community of Ottawa (VCCO) programs, Well-Baby Drop In, & Wellness Clinic at 55 Eccles.
Seniors Community Kitchen: We have moved to online sessions until further notice. Please contact Catherine at 613-238-8210 ext. 2248 to register.
Children & Youth Programs:
Afterschool Programs: Our after-school programs are cancelled until further notice.
Headstart Nursery Schools (Nanny Goat Hill and Queensway Preschool): As per provincial directive, these services will be closed until further notice.
Playgroups & drop-in services: In-person playgroups are cancelled until further notice, but we will continue to offer sessions via Zoom meeting. Community Development & Engagement:
Events: All events are post-poned until further notice.
Income Tax Clinics: SWCHC offers income tax preparation for clients of our programs and/or people living in our service area who meet the criteria for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. This year, in response to COVID 19, we are offering a modified pick-up tax service. Our tax clinics are full for the 2020 tax season, but you can call 613 324 4920 to be added to our wait list if you meet the criteria for the clinics.
Rochester Heights Community House: Our community house is closed until further notice, but phone support is available at 613-237-6529. You can also email email@example.com
Yet Keen Seniors Day Centre 日健高齡康樂中心: Our drop-in Centre in closed until further notice, but outreach and phone support remains available Tue-Fri 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at 613-232-6695.
Consumption & Treatment Services: We have modified our hours. Our CTS site is open every day from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Needle Exchange & Safer Inhalation (NESI): Our drop-in program is closed until further notice, but gear distribution is available at 55 Eccles Monday - Sunday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Van and outreach are continuing with regular schedules. You can contact the NESI Van at 613-761-0003.
SMART Recovery Meetings: Meetings are cancelled until further notice.
Lung Health Programs:
The lung health program continues to support new and existing clients remotely through telephone or virtual appointments through the COVID crisis. Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm To request an appointment please call 613-288-0163.
Classes/Groups: These are cancelled until further notice. This includes Asthma, COPD Education, COPD Exercise Drop-In run by the Family Physiology at Rosemount, Pulmonary Rehab Classes, & Seniors Chair Exercise Drop-In run by The Family Physiology at Rosemount.
Mental Health & Counselling:
Social Services Walk-in: For telephone support please call (613) 402-2499 to speak to a Community Support Worker, from 9 – 4 pm Monday to Friday.
If you do not have access to a reliable phone, Walk-in appointments are still available from Monday to Friday, 1 – 4 pm, at 55 Eccles.
Because of precautions, we request that if you have access to a reliable phone, you do not come to the walk-in in person, instead please call ahead for support in order to continue to follow the Public Health directions of physical distancing.
Single Session Counselling now available: to book a counselling session, please call (613) 402 - 2499. Counselling is offered in English and Mandarin. This service includes our Mental Health and Counselling Walk-in previously operating only on Tuesdays.
Counselling services: Counselling sessions for existing appointments have been moved to telephone sessions. For more information, please call (613) 402 – 2499.

CMHA Case Management for Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Chinese Communities: For existing clients only - phone support continues to be available, however in person appointments have been suspended. Please contact your Case Manager directly.

Urgent Primary Care: We continue to offer services by appointment only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Services are closed on Thursday. Please note ONHC does not have a walk-in clinic
