Volunteering at Somerset West CHC:
Somerset West Community Health Centre (SWCHC) supports and values the participation of volunteers within the Centre. Furthermore, the Centre recognizes that work as a volunteer contributes to both individual and community health. On an individual level, work as a volunteer may provide a meaningful purpose, as well as opportunity for social interaction for those who may be fully or partially retired, or either unemployed or underemployed. Volunteer work also provides opportunities for those seeking to gain new skills or work experience. At the highest level, work as a volunteer provides the community with special skills, interests and expertise in furthering the work of the Centre.
