Ottawa Language Access

A free interpretation service for healthcare providers who serve clients that don't speak English or French!

To qualify, providers must be funded by the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) to support Limited English French Proficiency (LEFP) and have limited or no funding for interpretation.

Multicultural Health Navigator Program

We help refugees and immigrants navigate the Canadian health system. This includes helping people apply for health insurance and connecting them with local health care providers who are sensitive to their cultural needs.

Our navigators provide services in many languages, including:

Ottawa Newcomer Clinic

Medical clinic that provides temporary primary care to Government Assisted Refugees (GARs), privately sponsored refugees, and refugee claimants.

Services include medical screening and treatment of urgent medical needs (including short-term follow-up), a TB clinic, women’s health checkups, immunizations and more. The clinic also assists with connecting clients to primary healthcare providers in their community.

Dental Screening

Free dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications and denture cleaning by appointment every 2nd Friday of the month.  Other services include Healthy Smiles Ontario enrolment.
