Community-Based Pulmonary Rehab
This 16 week pulmonary rehabilitation program is designed for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) to decrease symptoms and improve their ability to function in daily life.
The program consists of exercise, education, and support delivered in two phases: an 8-week training phase (2 sessions per week) and an 8-week maintenance phase (1 session per week). Clients are followed by a Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) and supervised by a personal trainer while exercising.

Referrals can be made by any primary care provider or specialist.

Lung Health Program
Community-based Pulmonary Rehab is part of Somerset West Community Health Centre's Lung Health Program. This program provides a range of services to help people with COPD and asthma better self-manage their conditions.
