National Day of Action rally against cuts to refugee health care on June 16 at 12 noon on Parliament Hill. We have arranged for a bus to make it easy for staff and community members. We want to get a busload of people to the rally!

SWCHC staff join thousands at the Canadian Tire Centre for WE Day! The event is part of a larger initiative called We Act.
SWCHC launched their Rosemount Branch Capital Fundraising Campaign to the community on March 20th. A great crowd turned out and $14,000 was pledged alone that night. With a goal of $500,000 SWCHC is working with local businesses and community leaders to make this dream a reality.
The Canadian Medical Association launched its Choosing Wisely Canada campaign today at Somerset West CHC. "Choosing Wisely Canada is about changinf the culture that more is always better when it comes to medical tests and procedures", said Dr. Wendy Levinson, founder of Choosing Wisely Canada, and a faculty member at the University of Toronto.
Starting April 1, 2014, expectant and breastfeeding moms will have 24-hour access to Registered Nurses with training in breastfeeding and lactation support, as well as lactation experts through a telephone advisory service provided by Telehealth Ontario.
